I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
